IF YOU ARE MOBILIZING IN WASHINGTON DC

On Wednesday, April 26th & Thursday, April 27th, we will kick off the weekend of action with art builds to prepare for the mobilization, followed by a young adult-led Grounded & Resilient Organizers Worship! Both will take place at All Souls UU, at 1500 Harvard Street NW, in the Columbia Height / Mt. Pleasant neighborhood of Washington, DC. The art builds will run from 4 - 8 pm on Wednesday, and on Thursday beginning at 12:30 PM. We will pause for a community meal and worship, beginning at 6:30 PM, and close out the evening with continuing to work on signs and art for the PCM until 8:30 PM. You can stop in whenever you like, and stay as long as you like!

These events are being organized by Aly Tharp (Programs Coordinator -- Commit2Respond / UU Ministry for Earth / UU Young Adults for Climate Justice). Please RSVP HERE to help us plan for food and art supplies. Contact Aly Tharp if you are able to help bring a dish to the community dinner on April 27th, or if you have any questions.

There are also art builds on April 22 (2 – 8 pm) and April 23rd (6 – 10 pm) at The Sanctuaries DC Studie, focused on screen printing and assembling Faith Flags for the entire multi-faith bloc of the March for Climate, Jobs, and Justice!

We were a little late to learn about this exciting enterprise. We’ll join future opportunities. Monday evening we attended a “Pull Together” https://pull-together.ca/organizer/pull-together/ gathering in Bellingham at Western Washington University to raise awareness and dollars to fight the proposed Trans Mountain Pipeline. Pulling together is an international (resources no know borders) cross cultural effort. Luke Wallace provides great music. He’s inspiring. Be sure and check him out also. http://www.lukewallacemusic.com
